It’s already been 5 days in Taiwan – time flies. The flight there was pretty boring. I don’t recall much except Dave poking me awake when I wanted to sleep and making me sleep when I wanted to watch movies. I guess it worked, because apart from being really tired after dinner the first two days, I’m pretty much over jet lag.
We’re staying at his parents’ clinic/townhouse in Taichung. It’s an interesting building. It has four floors with the clinic on the street level, kitchen/living room on the second floor, bedrooms on the third floor, and playroom/laundry/guestroom on the fourth floor.
The last time I was back here was three and a half years ago during Christmas break in law school. It’s humid year round, and this time of year it’s also really hot.
