My college friend and dear sister in Christ got engaged and married without telling anyone – you go, girl! What a way to save money and the headache of planning a wedding. If you know Carrie, you’d be just as surprised as I am that she eloped (and just as happy).

I should have posted this earlier, but, my good friend and college roommate, Jessica, got married on August 18 to her optometry school sweetheart, Tim. I had the honor of being one of the bridesmaids. Congrats, Mr. and Mrs. Yee!
One of the funnier moments…
Our limo got stuck trying to go down a hill. The bride was rudely awakened from her nap and had to wait while some random people from the neighborhood just outside of Balboa Park tried to get the limo unstuck. Luckily Dave and another car were following and were able to take most of the bridal party to the photo shoot. Me and another bridesmaid waited for the limo which eventually did get extricated. The limo driver was sweating and embarrassed, of course.

I’m so excited – our wedding album is done and should arrive tomorrow! Maybe this will motivate Dave to begin to write his part of the thank you cards. That’s right – begin to. I really shouldn’t compare our post-wedding responsibilties, though. I voluntarily took on the wedding planning / week of the wedding / wedding / honeymoon scrapbook project. Most of our keepsakes, like the plastic hotel door cards, pieces of ribbon, nice tissue paper from our gifts, are stashed away in some box. I’m giving us the deadline of our first anniversary to finish everything.
