Not so super

We saw Superman today. It was all right. Not as good as X-Men in my opinion. (When I say X-Men, I mean all of them taken collectively, though I like X2 the best.) I guess I find near-invincible superheroes boring. I mean, laser eyes, x-ray vision and hearing, and a body so impervious that bullets bounce off his eyeballs…it’s amusing but doesn’t give him much personality. And despite how lethal Kryptonite is, he’s still able to overcome it or fight against it enough to save the world. So he doesn’t really have an Achilles Heel plot-wise. I wouldn’t have felt sad if he died, but I would feel sad if Spiderman died.
I got my new social security card in the mail today. It reads “Chanlee Shieh Sutoyo.” Weird.
