Free Rice is Addictive

I saw this link for Free Rice on Elliot’s blog. It’s a never-ending vocab quiz, and every word you get right is 10 grains of rice donated to hungry people around the world. I never fully realized till now how much taking Latin in high school helps me with vocab! It is so fun and addictive.
Reading Wicked also helped me with quite a few words. I had to look up almost 200 words when I read that book.
It is addicting!!

My mom and I discussed some ideas for creating a similar game.. I’ll post about it if I get around to making one.

Eugenia – What level of vocab did you get to?
Elliot – That’d be cool if you made a game. Would it be vocab only or would it incorporate other skills?
Katy – I got Joanna’s copy from her. It looks well worn. Looks like she has been lending it to a lot of people.
Serena just finished reading it when I got it from her. And I think her cousin Janet read it before that. But no more sad books for me!
