Favorite Meal in New Orleans
Sunday, May 04, 2008
My favorite meal in New Orleans was at Lüke, a brasserie serving French and German food. I got the poulet grand mère and it was sumptuous. It was herb roast chicken with jus naturel and bacon, string beans, oyster mushrooms, young beets, peeled asparagus, and the silkiest whipped potatoes I’ve ever had. I enjoyed every bite.
I like beets :D
I was thinning out my beet patch today and pulled a bunch of baby beets. I ate them raw and they were yummy. :D Now I hope the others grow!!!!
chicken grand mother?
The grandmother of all chickens...it could catch on.
Anything with bacon, you can’t lose.
Hey, I didn’t know I can be tagged again??!!
Whoa… a beet patch? What are raw beets like? Are canned beets already cooked? Interesting. Can I try some?
Maybe the translation is “grandma’s chicken.”
Tagged again for what?
